Oh! Of course I'll tell! Haha. When I was like 14 I was homeschooled. We were driving down the road with our best friends and moms after a "nature" day or something (we were such nerds, haha) and came across a whole group of protestors opposing the war, burning American flags, and yelling extremely absurd things to men in uniform (I live in a town with a HUGE navy base). Anyways, this completely upset all of us and we felt so bad that they were treating our troops with such disrespect that we were inspired to do just the opposite! SO we went to a nearby store and bought poster board and markers and made signs that said "we support our troops". SO many of the marines came up to us with tears in their eyes and shook our hands and hugged us for doing that. Some news people came down and did a radio blurb about it and then a bunch more people came down to join us! Eventually it became so big that the local news station came down and interviewed us (the little homeschooled teens whose idea it was)! The "anti-war" people actually cussed us out and spit on us (so much for being "anti-war", huh?) Kind of an oxymoron if you ask me. It was a really cool experience and I got to be on tv! haha I was also interviewed at a church once about abstinence and sex before marriage at a "True Love Waits" rally and it was on a local channel. I think that's it... :)
