Wedding Photos- Part 6

And last but not least, our reception!

Our reception was AMAZING and so much fun! The food, cake, desserts and candy bar was amazing. We danced all night long. I saw people I hadn't seen in years and spent time with those who meant the most to us. It was such a fun celebration and I really enjoyed it!

Our venue was perfect. It was a recreation of Pensacola in the 1900's. It looked like an old town inside which was perfect for our theme and ideas. Everything came together so perfectly. It was a great way to end an amazing day.

Wedding Photos- Part 5

And now back to the wedding photos/posts. We only have two more, so bear with me :)

Now, I will feature the Wedding Ceremony.

Our Wedding ceremony was perfect and so heartfelt. We really put a lot into it and that is how I feel it should be.

The wedding party walked down the aisle to Til Kingdom Come by Coldplay. The song couldn't be more appropriate for mine and Ben's relationship. It's such a beautiful song and was perfect for our wedding. I walked down the aisle to an instrumental song called Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros. It's one of my favorites and made a perfect processional. We showed a slideshow/montage of photos of both of our lives at the beginning as well as photos of the two of us together when we were in our teens. It was played to the Beatles' tunes "In My Life" and "I Will. Two of our friends played music and sang beautifully. My uncle officiated the ceremony and did a tremendous job. We wrote our own vows in addition to the traditional vows. My Dad read "The Blessing of the Hands" and prayed the sweetest prayer over our union. We took communion and lit a unity candle while one of my favorite hymns, "In Christ Alone" was played and Ben's precious grandfather read a beautiful blessing over us. There were lots of tears and laughter. It was one of the most sacred and holy moments of my entire life. The ceremony lasted about 40 minutes which some might deem as a bit lengthy but it was so pure, spiritual and precious and I wouldn't have changed a single thing about it.

Here are a few photos. I also included a photo of our program.
