And here are my new Ecuadorian friends (minus Isabel)! From Left to right- Martha, Me, Santiago, Alberto and Adreis.

Last night God did something beautiful. We had our usual prayer meeting at the Red Door as we do every Monday night and Isabel and I went to pick up these four to join, but Martha was the only one who wanted to come. We had a sweet time of worship and prayer and I could really sense God's presence so near. Martha just began to cry and cry, it was evident that the Lord was doing something in her heart.

After worship we all joined together and prayed. God was doing something. There were a few atheist kids there who stayed and maybe they were laughing during our prayer but hey, they stayed. We prayed for Chris' family and friends (the one who died from a drug overdose) and we prayed that God would draw them closer to Him through this time, that they would realize how detrimental the consequences of a life filled with drugs and alcohol truly is, how empty it is. We prayed that they would come to realize how real eternity is and how much we need God because without Him we are merely nothing. I could strongly sense God's presence and sense that little by little he is drawing the sinners in and tugging on their hearts. They want something real, they want something genuine. I just pray that they wake up soon and realize how empty their lives are without Him.

Again, Martha began to cry as well as Isabel, and we separated into small groups. She began to go into detail about how she has gotten away from God, her parents are divorced and she wanted to leave her country to come here and work. She also said that she expected to fall even further away from God and get into not-so-good things while she was here. She told me that she knows it was God that she came to the Red Door the 2nd night she was here and met me and she knows that God is going to do something in her life while she is here. How precious! I was overwhelmed with awe for how awesome God is. Isabel began to tell me that her parents were in the midst of a divorce and how hard it has been for her. This all just broke my heart, we prayed and then they prayed for me. It was so sweet and genuine. I love those girls already and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Lord brought them into the Red Door that night and into my life for a distinct reason.

Tonight they have invited Meagan and I for a special dinner. They are just too sweet! I believe that God is going to continue to do wonderful and beautiful things. I love it when he orchestrates relationships and unites spirits like this. He is so good.

Those of you who pray, again continue to pray for us. This has been the toughest month for the Red Door by far. We have been attacked from all directions and in every way possible. I believe it is because God is doing something and satan is doing everything in His power to thwart it. Pray for strength and wisdom for my mom as well as our entire staff. Pray for discernment and pray that we would walk in the authority of the Holy Spirit. Pray that we would hear directly from the Lord in every situation. I know that He is faithful, I have seen it from the beginning. Ever since we began dreaming of the Red Door He has been faithful, we have traced His hand in everything. I could sit here and tell you story after story of His amazing faithfulness. I pray that we remain steadfast and zealous for the things of Him, and the things which burn His heart also burn ours!

A certain song has been resounding within my spirit. It's by a group called Leeland and the name of the song is called "Tears of the Saints". It's very powerful and it is my prayer right now, my spirit is quickened and my heart desirous to see the lost found. Here are the lyrics. (You should also try and listen to the song on their myspace :)...

Tears of the Saints-Leeland

There are many prodigal sons
On our city streets they run
Searching for shelter
There are homes broken down
People’s hopes have fallen to the ground
From failures
This is an emergency

There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
We’re crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home

There are schools full of hatred
Even churches have forsaken
Love and mercy
May we see this generation
In its state of desperation
For Your glory
This is an emergency

There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
We’re crying for them come back home
And all your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home

Sinner, reach out your hands
Children, in Christ you stand
Sinner, reach out your hands
Children, in Christ you stand

There are tears from the saints
For the lost and unsaved
We’re crying for them come back home
We’re crying for them come back home
And all Your children will stretch out their hands
And pick up the crippled man
Father, we will lead them home
Father, we will lead them home
